This article appeared 2003 in Deutsche Sprache, 31(1), pages 29–62. An analysis can be found in Linguistische Berichte 2005 (203).

In this paper I show that in German multiple constituents can appear infront of the finite verb although German is usually regarded a verb second language.

An analysis is provided in a separate article.
