Zusammenfassung

Ziel des Projekts ist eine kontrastive Beschreibung zentraler Phänomene des Deutschen und des Dänischen im Rahmen der HPSG sowie die Entwicklung eines nicht-trivialen Grammatikfragments für das Dänische, ebenfalls im Rahmen der Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG). Diese Grammatik soll eine Teilmenge der abgedeckten Phänomene der deutschen Grammatik umfassen. Dabei sollen folgende Phänomenbereiche besonders berücksichtigt werden: Fernabhängigkeiten, Passiv und Anhebung, mehrfache Vorfeldbesetzung.

Das Projekt strebt einen engen Zusammenhang zwischen Theorie und Implementation an. Die Analyse soll auf bereits im HPSG-Format computerverarbeitbar vorliegende Grammatikfragmente für Deutsch, Maltesisch, Chinesisch und Persisch aufbauen. Die Grammatikfragmente für die genannten Sprachen wurden so entwickelt, das sie einen möglichst großen gemeinsamen Kern bzw. gemeinsame Teilbereiche, die verschiedenen Sprachklassen entsprechen, haben.

Bei der Umsetzung des Projekts sollen möglichst wenige sprachspezifische Regeln bzw. Merkmale stipuliert werden. Wenn sich solche Stipulationen jedoch als unumgänglich herausstellen, ist das ein Indiz für Unterschiede zwischen den betrachteten Sprachen. Diese Unterschiede sollen sowohl in deskriptiven als auch theoretischen Veröffentlichungen thematisiert werden. Das Projekt soll somit einen Beitrag zum typologischen Verständnis der germanischen Sprachen in einer beschränkungsbasierten Grammatiktheorie liefern.
