Re-thinking the Annotation of Information Structure (RAIS):- A follow-up Workshop on the Annotation of Topic/Focus

Following on from the first RAIS meeting held in Stuttgart in 2013, a small group working on annotation of Information Structure will re-group for a one-day workshop in Berlin.

Participants are submitting texts before-hand for hands-on annotation tasks (files are accessible at the wiki hosted in Stuttgart). We will annotate the texts amongst ourselves (depending on language competence of course) before the workshop and will use this as a basis for the discussion.

The workshop is organised jointly by projects A6, T2 and D1 of the SFB 632

Berlin has several train stations and airports (Tegel, Schönefeld). Both airports are well-connected to the public transport. As for the trains: If you are coming with the fast train (ICE), you should get off at Hauptbahnhof.

The workshop venue is the Rostlaube (Habelschwerdter Alle 45). It is located at the crossroads of Habelschwerdter Allee and Thielalle. You can get there using the busses X11 or M11 to Hittorfstraße or the undergrund to Thielplatz. The Fahrplanauskunft will tell you the best connection. (enter Habelschwerdter Allee 45 as destination (Ziel) to come to the University).

If you own a smart phone watch out for the DB Navigator by German Rail. It comes with augmented reality.
